Tax Credits & Receipts Print E-mail

From January 2016, eligible donations to OM New Zealand are eligible for tax-deductible receipts.

Are my gifts to OM New Zealand eligible for a tax credit?

Yes, donations of $5 or more are eligible for a tax credit, provided they are allocated for use within New Zealand. This means that all donations designated for the following are eligible:

  1. Donations for the support of any of our workers in New Zealand
  2. General donations for the work of ”OM New Zealand” and intended to stay in New Zealand
  3. Donations towards the work of our Off the GRID programme.

We regret that donations made for the support of overseas workers or projects are not eligible for tax-deductible receipts.

Please contact us if you have any further questions about whether your donation is eligible for a tax credit.

Is OM a registered charity and have IRD “approved donee organisation” status?

Yes, Operation Mobilisation (CC22286) is a registered charitable trust in terms of the Charities Act 2005. We are on Inland Revenue Department’s list of approved donee organisations, therefore your donations are eligible (if they meet the conditions) for a tax credit of up to 33%, up to the level of your annual net income.
