Ministry Details

After arriving, there will be a day of preparations, orientation and getting to know the program that will be presented. Then follows days of traveling to Villages. After breakfast each day there will be prayer after which you will drive to a village, school nursery school where you will set up do the puppet show and spend time with the children. In the evenings you will return to Vinnitsa for dinner, feedback of the day, fellowship and rest. You will be able to fully be part of the Puppet theatre show – as a puppet master since the play is pre-recorded in Russian and you will have rehearsal time with the team.

Participant Profile

Participants need to be Christians who are church members and non-smokers. If you can play and bring along a musical instrument (like a guitar you could bring along) that would be a great blessing. Able to converse with children as well as their parents to share the Gospel.

You will be housed in the Vinnitsa dorm - comfortable rooms with bunk beds.

All meals are included. Expect good home cooked Ukrainian food. Please let us know if you have any special dietary needs.

Please arrive at the Havryshivka Vinnytsia International Airport (VIN). You will be met at the airport by a representative of OM Ukraine with an OM sign. The team will likewise make sure you get back to the airport in time for your departure flight.

Participants must be in good health. Travel on the Ukrainian roads can be hard on one's back and you might be walking a lot in the villages to where the outreaches are held. This will differ from Village to village.

People from the EU, Switzerland, USA, Canada and Japan do not need a visa for visiting Ukraine up to 90 days. If you do need a visa the application date is 1 February 2019.
People from other nationalities have to apply for a visa. The visa must be obtained BEFORE leaving your home country. You will need a single entry (1 month) visa for Ukraine. Ask at the consulate in your home country what is needed to obtain the visa. If you need an invitation letter, we can get this to you but please allow 2 months for this to be obtained and sent to you. We need full passport info, home address, church and church address info to get the invitation letter for you.
You will then need to hand the invitation letter, the application and any other required documents to the consulate to receive the visa. Visa costs are not included in the campaign and must be paid separately.

Even though there will be translators, please do not expect you own personal translator. Be prepared for frustration with language and to be creative in finding ways to communicate.
Please take note that if a participant need a visa the application date is 1 February 2019.
