The Sound of Easter meets The Mark Drama - Vienna: Austria

Our purpose is to share the Sound of Easter in music, dance, the Mark drama (https://themarkdrama.com/; https://www.markus-theater.at/), short talks and testimonies with all kinds of people in and near Vienna.

Musicians, dancers and (amateur) actors will partner with students from the ÖSM (Austrian IFES movement) and local churches in Vienna, city of music and cultural capital, to share Easter hope with old and young, rich and poor, Austrians and foreigners.

The price quoted here does NOT include the costs of flights and travel insurance, but does include a $150 non refundable deposit.

Ministry Details

Orientation, training, prayer, Bible input, rehearsing, team building and outreaches.
The artists will share the Sound of Easter through performances and testimonies. Locations may include public places, homeless centres, old people’s homes and churches.
The outreach will finish by lunchtime on Saturday, 11 April.
Participants are free to stay on to celebrate Easter in Vienna and explore Vienna, depending on their schedule, before travelling home.

Participant Profile

• Musicians with a heart for evangelism. Professional musicians; music students; gifted amateur musicians (classical, jazz, pop).

Musicians will be asked to fill out a music-specific form and to send a video of their music-making during the application process.

• Anyone wanting to act in the Mark Drama needs to speak German as a mother tongue or to C1 level.
• The dancers for this outreach have already been chosen.

All participants should be able to speak English reasonably well.
If you can speak German, too, this is wonderful.
You should be flexible, able to work in a team and have a teachable heart.

Accommodation

Participants will probably be staying on mattresses in a local church. In some cases, it may be possible to stay with local hosts.

Food

All meals are included from Saturday, 4 April evening meal to Saturday, 11 April lunch.

Travel

Participants arrange and pay for their own travel to and from Vienna. Fly to Vienna (VIE) airport or to Vienna Meidling train station. Please try to arrive on 4 April between 11:00 am and 5:00 pm. Public transport for Sunday-Saturday is covered by the participants’ fee. Participants pay for travel on the arrival day.

Health

Special diets and allergies need to be communicated before applying to the outreach.

Each participant is encouraged to have their own travel insurance and needs to be fit to use public transport in Vienna and walk around.

Visa

EU/EWR citizens do not need a visa. Other participants please consult your local OM branch or visit www.schengenvisainfo.com.
