Children's Art Workshop: Joyful Christmas: Russia

To reach unreached children, youth and parents in Altai with the Gospel through the Christmas story. We will run daily creative art workshops and prepare Christmas skits together with children for their families.

The camp will be in a small village in the Altai region. Children, with help of volunteers, will prepare Christmas dramas on stage for their families. Step out of your comfort zone and join Christmas adventure among the least reached in Siberia.

The price quoted here does NOT include the costs of flights and travel insurance, but does include a $150 non refundable deposit.

Ministry Details

Various art workshops and preparations for Christmas skits will run for four days, then children will invite their families on the fifth day to show their dramas & art. They'll become actors, designers and singers having lots of fun and joy learning about the birth of Jesus. This is a great opportunity to build relationships and share God's love with them during art workshops.

Participant Profile

Creative, willing to serve children, good team player, flexible living in an uncomfortable environment; you don't have to be professional to run workshops, but be open to learning new things

Accommodation

In Novosibirsk, you will sleep at OM base in shared rooms. In Altai you will stay at the farm of local missionaries. Please bring your own warm sleeping bag.

Food

Good traditional Russian food. Please inform us in advance if you have any allergies.

Travel

Fly into the Novosibirsk airport (OVB) on the 1st of January. Fly out from the Novosibirsk airport (OVB) on the 9th of January.

Health

You should be in good health.

Notes

You are welcome to arrive to Novosibirsk a day earlier to celebrate Russian New Year with us. Also you can fly out a day later- on the 10 th of January.
Travel from Novosibirsk to Altai region takes 6 hours by car.
